from 17 Dec 2021, entry to The World Theatre requires Proof of Vaccination for all aged 16+...

Do you have your 'Proof of Vaccination' ready to go? 💪

From Friday 17 December 2021, you can expect to have your COVID-19 vaccination status checked at👇:
🍺 Hotels, pubs, clubs, taverns, bars, restaurants and cafes
💃 Nightclubs, live music venues, karaoke bars, concerts, theatres and cinemas
🏟️ Sporting stadiums and theme parks
🎼 Music festivals, folk festivals and arts festivals
📚 Qld Government owned galleries, museums and libraries
🏥 Hospitals, residential aged care, disability care accommodation and prisons.
If you aren't fully vaccinated, you will be able to enter these facilities for medical treatment, end-of-life visits, childbirth and emergency situations only.

We ask that everyone respects the staff at businesses.
If they ask to verify your vaccination status, they are only doing their job.

These measures are in place to protect both unvaccinated people, and vaccinated people who are most vulnerable to COVID-19.

more info:  https://www.qld.gov.au/health/conditions/health-alerts/coronavirus-covid-19/current-status/queensland-restrictions-update/public-health-and-social-measures-linked-to-vaccination-status

Proof of vaccination verifies that a person is fully vaccinated. You must show either a printed or electronic form before entering a business establishment or venue.

There are 3 different types of proof available that you can get for free:
  • a COVID-19 digital certificate
  • your immunisation history statement (IHS)
  • an International COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate for overseas travel.
The COVID-19 vaccination certificate can be viewed or printed through:
  • Medicare Online via MyGov
  • Express Plus Medicare mobile app
  • My Health Record

A person who cannot be vaccinated must show an evidence of contraindication. This is a medical certificate stating that a person is exempted from getting a COVID-19 vaccination. This can be downloaded from the Australian Immunisation Register.

A legally qualified medical practitioner is required to complete the medical exemption form and record this on the Australian Immunisation Register.

📢 From 1am Saturday 18 December, face masks will be required across Queensland.
We know masks may not feel natural or comfortable, but now that our borders are open for loved ones, masks have a role to play as COVID-19 cases increase.

When you couple masks with social distancing 📏 washing your hands regularly 🙌 and getting vaccinated 💉 the protection you give yourself and others matters.
😷 You must wear masks in the below locations 👇
           🛒 Shops and retail centres
           🏥 Hospitals and aged care
          🚆 Public transport
          🚕 Rideshare vehicles
          ✈️ Airports and planes

The most effective way to stop new variants is by limiting #COVID19 transmission.
Get vaccinated and #DoItAll to avoid new infections:
         ↔Keep a safe distance.
        👋🏽Keep hands clean.
        🤧Cover coughs and sneezes.
        😷Wear a mask.
        🏠Open windows for ventilation.
