Due to overwhelming popular demand, this unforgettable concert
experience features ‘The King of Waltz’ and his famous 60-piece Johann
Strauss Orchestra as they dramatically transform the medieval square in
Rieu’s hometown of Maastricht in the Netherlands into a romantic
open-air concert venue with dazzling light shows, spectacular fireworks
and sublime music.

The concert features many notable guest
artists and soloists, including 30 year-old Australian soprano Mirusia
Louwerse, whom André calls the “Angel of Australia” and Tasmanian-born
tenor Gary Bennett, who has been performing with André for ten years.
Some
of the many highlights of André Rieu’s 2015 Maastricht Concert in
Cinemas include Mirusia’s deeply emotional rendition of Andrew Lloyd
Webber’s ‘Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again’; the stirring ‘This Land
is Mine’ from Exodus; world-renowned Romanian panpipe master Gheorghe
Zamfir leading an incredible performance of ‘The Lonely Shepherd’;
André’s signature waltz ‘The Blue Danube’ and many more.
André Rieu’s
2015 Maastricht Concert in Cinemas runs for 3 hours, including a
15-minute intermission. As always, CinemaLive’s programme features
CinemaLive host Charlotte Hawkins, who introduces the concert and
interviews André the moment he steps off stage, exclusively for cinema
