Karen Beckett is one of the most popular cabaret performers in Australia today. Born in Perth, Western Australia, Karen moved to Sydney in her late teens to pursue a career in entertainment.
Before long she had performed on all major Australian Television variety shows and won a 36-show engagement at the MGM Grande Hotel in Las Vegas. This was followed by national tours with Bob Hope and Neil Sedaka and the release of Karen’s first album, “Romantically Inclined”.
Karen’s sensational voice together with the professional and charming nature of her performances led Bill DeAngelis, Director of Entertainment at the MGM Grande to comment, "I have no doubt the whole world will hear of you Karen”. Her versatility in both cabaret and theatre also landed her the leading role of "Fantine" in an Australian production of "Les Miserables".
Karen has recorded three albums, “Romantically Inclined”, “Here to Eternity” which receives airplay both in Australia and Europe, and her latest CD “When Somebody Loves You” featuring timeless ballads from her cabaret shows.
Karen is currently appearing in Sydney presenting her own production “Songs of Streisand and Friends”; a two-hour show with orchestra, paying tribute to Barbra Streisand and the great female singers of the Twentieth Century.
Karen loves to sing and has entertained audiences all over the world. She weaves her show with fabulous songs and delightful anecdotes from her life. She’ll sing the songs of your life and your memories.
Don’t miss an opportunity to experience this wonderful Australian Entertainer.
