This workshop presents a direct, hands on approach to learning rhythm. Actual in class group drumming will be the practice and basis for these lessons. Dizzy Gillespie, one of the fathers of modern jazz / bebop taught these exact rhythms and techniques to his band members so that they could accompany him better. This is not common knowledge taught in schools, but was handed down to Adam from Mike Longo, Dizzy's former pianist. Most musicians attempt to "feel" rhythm. This approach is actually scientific, and shows HOW to practice grooves.
